Research Project: Preventive Sexual Behaviour among Gay and Bisexual Men over Time (1991–2007) and their Use of Mass Media and Target-Group-Specific Information about HIV and AIDS
  
   

Brief description of the project

 

 

 

Sub-group analysis of data from the project “Time stability in reducing the risk of HIV transmission among homosexual men in Germany” (¬ Zeitstabilität in der Risikominderung der HIV-Übertragung unter homosexuellen Männern in Deutschland, 8th follow-up survey Gay men and AIDS [GMA] 2007) on the topics “Information behaviour, information sources and information levels, reachability, drug use” taking special account of different age groups, birth cohorts, social strata, areas of sexual interaction.

Comparison with the BZgA repeat study “Public awareness of AIDS” (comparison of information behaviour with respect to HIV and AIDS and awareness of relevant media and materials among gay men versus the general population). Analysis of trends in the preventive sexual behaviour of gay and bisexual men over time 1991 to 2007.
