Curriculum Vitae (short)

 
      Ulrich Kohler is a senior researcher with interests in the social inequality of political participation, individualization theory and the comparative analysis of quality of life within European societies. Before coming to the WZB in 2003 he worked as researcher at the University of Mannheim, where he also completed his Dr. phil. (Dissertation: „Der demokratische Klassenkampf", 2002).

He manages the "Life Course Risks Project - The Economic Consequences of Key Life Risks in Germany and the US and Their Evolution since the 1080s." He also represents the WZB in the governing council of Equalsoc, and is an Associate Editor of the Stata Journal.
