AHCI is a multidisciplinary index covering the journal literature of the arts and humanities. It fully covers 1.144 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals, and it indexes individually selected, relevant items from over 6.800 major science and social science journals. AHCI contains the references cited by the authors of the articles covered by the index. In addition to cited reference searching (search for articles that cite an author or work) you can search these database by topic, author, source title, and address. The database provides comprehensive coverage of the world’s published biological and biomedical research. This includes traditional areas of biology, such as botany, zoology and microbiology, as well as experimental, clinical and veterinary medicine, biotechnology, environmental studies, and agriculture. Interdisciplinary fields such as biochemistry, biophysics and bioengineering are also included. More than 6.500 serials are monitored for inclusion. The database also includes short communications such as technical notes and letters. Abstracts are provided for full-length articles.

Through the Digital National Security Archive, the National Security Archive and Chadwyck-Healey at ProQuest Information and Learning Company have joined forces to produce a collection of significant primary documents central to U.S. foreign and military policy since 1945. Over 58,000 of the most important, declassified documents—totaling more than 450,000 pages—are included in the database. Many are published now for the first time. DNSA is comprised of twenty core collections, each focused on a single topic. In addition to the core collection, new collections are added annually to DNSA. Each collection contains a diverse range of policy documents including presidential directives, memos, diplomatic dispatches, meeting notes, independent reports, briefing papers, White House communications, email, confidential letters and other secret material. Additionally, contextual and reference supplements are provided for each collection, including general introductory material, a chronology, glossary and bibliography. DigiZeitschriften is a research service which offers an electronic archive of core German journals of scientific importance. These are mainly journals with a long-established tradition in their field. All magazines are available in full-text from their first year up to a so-called “moving wall” (about 3-5 years before the current year, depending on the publication).

DIMDI offers access to about 70 databases with approx. 100 million documents. Approximately one third of the databases is available free of charge. The databases contain scientific literature references and facts from the entire field of medicine and its adjacent fields, for instance, drugs, toxicology, medical devices, biology and psychology.

ECONIS provides international bibliographic information of books, journals and articles from the fields of business and economics. The focus is on statistics and business information. In addition the database contains governmental documents, working papers and dissertations.

EconLit is the AEA's electronic bibliography of economics literature throughout the world. EconLit contains abstracts, indexing, and links to full-text articles in economics journals. It abstracts books and indexes articles in books, working papers series, and dissertations. EconLit also provides the full-text of JEL book reviews. These sources bring the total records available in the database to more than 630,000.

The eHRAF (Electronic Human Relations Area Files) World Cultures Databank at present contains 500,000 pages. Over 200 peoples, respectively ethnic groups, have been indexed based on various sources. Its “primary data” are based on ethnographic monographs, articles and manuscript of published field research data. These data are coded using a highly complex and differentiated system. The coding follows the “Outline of Cultural Materials” (OCM) that contains over 700 individual classification elements. In addition, a keyword search based on full-text is possible. The databank is continuously updated.

The professional information system German Education Index is a bibliographical database that provides comprehensive references to all areas of education, currently 642.257 entries are listed. Most references to journals contain a link to the database of periodicals (ZDB) where information on the availability in libraries is recorded. The database is updated four times a year (last update: October 2, 2007). The German Education Index and the Metasearch are the key entries to the German Education Portal. This information service is provided by the Educational Information system (FIS Bildung), a network of more than 30 cooperation partners from Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The coordinating office is located at the German Institute for International Educational Research, DIPF, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The digitized collection of the work of the Dutch physician and feminist Aletta H. Jacobs is the world's largest full-text database on the history of women and of feminism. It consists of books, periodicals and pamphlets, reflecting the development of feminist consciousness and the women's rights movement. Covering four centuries it is much more far-reaching than the existing national licenses. Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft außeruniversitärer historischer Forschungseinrichtungen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (AHF) ist ein Netzwerk historischer Forschungseinrichtungen. Die verknüpften Datenbanken 'Jahrbuch der historischen Forschung' und 'Historische Bibliographie' sind die bibliographischen Online-Dienste der AHF. Das Jahrbuch der historischen Forschung dokumentiert etwa mit ca. 10.000 Eintr�gen an deutschen universitären und außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtungen entstehende, also noch nicht publizierte historische Fachliteratur. Die Historische Bibliographie dokumentiert die von der deutschen Geschichtswissenschaft aktuell publizierte historische Fachliteratur, ergänzt um eine Auswahl ausländischer Titel. Sie wird in Kumulation der Bände seit 1990 laufend ergänzt und aktualisiert. Derzeit sind in der Historischen Bibliographie 192.455 bibliographische Einträge recherchierbar. IBZ - International Bibliography of Periodical Literatureis an international and interdisciplinary bibliography of academic periodical literature mainly from the Humanities, Social Sciences and Arts. IBZ online contains over 2,553,260 journal articles from about 10,785 journals covering the years 1983ff. Approximately 120,000 entries are added to the database annually containing a subject classification. The article data in IBZ includes a subject classification in German and English based on the German Personennormdatei (name authority file -PND) and Schlagwortnormdatei (controlled vocabulary - SWD). Thus an easy and fast access to articles is ensured, unrespective of the language the original article was written in. Additionally a number of articles are included in the database which have not yet received the subject classification. Those articles can be accessed through the main index. Searching the database is possible through the main index, subjects, subject headings, publication year, volume and issue, author, title keyword, language, journal title, publisher, ISSN, ZDB-ID.

Itegrum World Wide is the largest full-text database of Russia and the CIS, which currently has over 360 million documents. IFS contains time series data for most IMF members (over 200 countries). The database service and electronic research unit covers the print and broadcast media, corporate and financial information, information about people in business, politics and current affairs, economic analysis, country reports and legal information (US, UK and EU law and the statutes and laws of other countries such as Australia, France, Northern Ireland, Mexico, Argentina). Articles from several thousand journals, magazines and newspapers are updated daily (and retrospective) and are available in full text, publications such as The Mirror, The Independent, New York Times, American Banker, Asia Pulse and El Pais are evaluated. The Financial Times is not included. Other sample sources include Statista, Creditreform, DUFA Index, Hoover's, Worldscope, CorpfinWorldwide, Extel Cards and the entire Hoppenstedt company database (large companies, medium-sized enterprises, banks, associations, etc.).

Macmillan Online provides historians and political scientists with direct access to documents from the highest level of British Government during the Macmillan Administration, 1957-1963.

The Making of Modern Law contains nearly 10 million pages of legal history from America and Britain. The archive — from one of the most important periods of legal development — is a full-text collection of Anglo-American legal treatises anywhere. It allows for full text searching of more than 21,000 works from casebooks, local practice manuals, form books, works for lay readers, pamphlets, letters, speeches and more - all separated into 99 subject areas.

The PAIS Archive database comprises a retrospective conversion of the PAIS Annual Cumulated Bulletin, Volumes 1-62, published 1915-1976. At completion of this conversion, the PAIS Archive contains over 1.23 million records. The PAIS Archive database contains references to monographs, periodical articles, notes and announcements, and analytics. The original historical subject headings have been retained in the file.

World Biographical Information System Online (WBIS Online) is the most comprehensive biographical database available. Based on the digitization of K. G. Saur's Biographical Archives, it compiles biographical articles from printed reference works published from the 16th to the 21st century, and reproduces these original documents as facsimile images on the screen. Thus, WBIS Online features biographical profiles of people from all centuries as well as all countries and regions worldwide. In addition to 4.56 million digitized biographical articles from 24 Biographical Archives, the WBIS Online database currently provides an index to 36 Biographical Archives totalling short biographies on more than 4.2 million people. Coverage of the database will be extended annually, both geographically as well as historically.

The World Development Indicators (WDI) provides a comprehensive selection of economic, social and environmental indicators, drawing on data from the World Bank and more than 30 partner agencies. The database covers more than 900 indicators for 210 economies with data back to 1960. Since May 2010 the access to the databases World Development Indicators (WDI), Global Development Finance (GDF) and Africa Development Indicators (ADI) will be available free of charge.

Worldwide Political Science Abstracts provides citations, abstracts, and indexing of the international serials literature in political science and its complementary fields, including international relations, law, and public administration / policy. The database is building on the merged backfiles of Political Science Abstracts, published by IFI / Plenum, 1975-2000, and ABC POL SCI, published by ABC-CLIO, 1984-2000. Since 2000, development of the serials list has focused on expanding international coverage. The references cited in the bibliography of the source article have been included for citations to core journals in political science, added to the database since 2001, and for all journals added since 2004. Each individual reference may also have links to an abstract and/or to other papers that cite that reference
these references are linked. All records added since 2000 are indexed using a thesaurus.
