The WZB congratulates the FU and HU on excellence
On Friday it became official: Berlin now has two elite universities. The Freie Universität and the Humboldt-Universität were awarded the rating “excellent” in the federal and state competition of excellence. The FU defended its rating.
"The results are a great success for Berlin as a place of science. We can be proud,” said WZB president Jutta Allmendinger after the decision. The distinctions are an incentive for the WZB to deepen and further develop close cooperation with both universities. This applies to joint projects in research, teaching and postgraduate education.
