Tomaso Duso has been a member of the CIC unit (now CIG) since 1998. He was Assistant Professor at the University of Vienna in 2003-2004. He is currently research fellow in the "Competition and Innovation Group" (CIG) as well as Assistant Professor at the Humboldt University, Berlin, where he is taking part in the SFB-Transregio 15 “Governance and the Efficiency of Economic Systems” .

His research interests are in the areas of industrial organization and competition policy. Specifically, he conducts empirical research on regulation and  merger control. Among other journals, he has published in The Journal of Law and Economics, Economics Letters and Public Choice.
