Research Professorship & Project: Competition and Innovation

Research

The CIG Unit conducts research in the area of industrial organization.  The aim of this research is to develop new concepts and policy scenarios for fostering sustainable competitive structures in a world of technological change.  In particular, competition in product as well as input markets is analyzed, while explicitly considering the political environment in which policy decisions are taken.  Methodologically, the approach taken by CIG is to link new developments in theoretical industrial organization with systematic empirical analysis.
