  Information and Communication Department

Head of Communications: > Dr. Paul Stoop

The communication of the research results is an important part of the function the WZB has defined for itself. The organization also sees its responsibility not only in disseminating the results within the scientific community but in making them available to a broader audience as well. In addition to the customary publications in books and journals, the information is channeled mainly through conferences; colloquia; contacts with representatives of decisionmakers, policy-makers, the media, and the interested public; and through scientific consulting in various organizations and bodies.

Key sources of information about WZB research are

> WZB-Mitteilungen (in German – quarterly)

> Press releases (in German) and press conferences

> Discussion papers - research reports in publication series of the research areas and research groups, (free of charge)

> Books and journal articles appearing at home and abroad;  book series brought out mainly by ¬ edition sigma, Berlin

>  Newsletter (in German – monthly)

>  Newsletter "wzb-news" (in English – bimonthly)

> Biennials reports (in German)

and the free information services
