The positions are within the research project ‘Medical Internationalisms and the Making of Global Public Health (Dr.GLOBAL)’. The project, funded by a Freigeist Fellowship of the Volkswagen Foundation, explores the North–South–North knowledge transfer in the area of medical aid. Requirements:

  • Very good final grades (master’s or equivalent) in Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Public Health, or a related discipline,
  • Experience with qualitative or quantitative research methods,
  • Willingness to pursue doctoral studies in the topic area of the project.

Necessary language skills:

  • Both positions require very good level of written and spoken English language skills.
  • The position with a focus on France requires very good level of written and spoken French language skills.

Desirable qualities:

  • For the position with a focus on the USA, a good knowledge of French (to help with the case of Haiti),
  • Knowledge of the subject area of the project (e.g., globalisation processes, health policy, political sociology, professions),

Salary: EG 13 on the Wage Agreement for Public Service (TVöD) scale.
