Prof. Øyvind Nicolay Wiborg

Øyvind Nicolay Wiborg is a professor at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography at the University of Oslo (UiO). He is currently a visiting scholar at both the WZB and DIW Berlin. His research primarily explores social stratification, health inequalities, educational and occupational mobility, as well as income and wealth mobility, both across and within generations. At WZB, he will focus on the intersection of health and wealth inequalities. His current research relies heavily on Norwegian administrative register data, as well as panel survey data from the US, UK, and Germany.
