Peter John Spiro  is an American legal scholar whose specialities include international law and U.S. constitutional law. He is a leading expert on dual citizenship. Since 2006 he has been the Charles R. Weiner Professor of Law at Temple University.  He was a Robert Schuman fellow at the European University Institute in 2016. Spiro is the author of "Beyond Citizenship: American Identity After Globalization" (OUP 2008); "At Home in Two Countries: The Past and Future of Dual Citizenship" (NYU Press 2016); and the forthcoming "Citizenship: What Everyone Needs to Know (OUP 2019)".
