In September 2017 the cooperation agreement called  “Good Work in Brandenburg- Politics and Science in Dialogue”  between the WZB’s doctoral school „Good Work“ and the Brandenburg Alliance for Good Work was signed. The aim of this cooperation is to foster a mutual learning and transfer process supported by a variety of events.

The cooperation was kicked off by joint expert dialogues on topics such as “Participatory business and corporate co-determination” and “Diverse workforce, diverse types of employment: Perspectives for the labor market of the future”.

Using the network is beneficial for the doctoral students as they gain better access to practitioners in the region. For instance, thanks to this cooperation, the doctoral students of the first doctoral college were invited to the 7th Brandenburg Works Councils Conference and to the relevant working groups of the Alliance. Consequently, closer ties and mutual exchange between scientific research and practice on the ground were established.

In 2019, a joint expert conference of the Brandenburg Alliance for Good Work and the WZB took place in order to discuss and link the implementation experiences and the scientific findings, and to generate policy recommendations for the future.

In September 2020, a second cooperation agreement between the Doctoral Program and the Brandenburg Alliance for Good Work was signed by WZB President Jutta Allmendinger and Dietmar Woidke, Minister-President of the federal state of Brandenburg.

We will announce all public events which take place in the framework of this cooperation on the website of the doctoral program in due time.
