Innovations in Field and Survey Experiments

The WZB is planning an international workshop on “Innovations in Field and Survey Experiments” held as a two-day workshop on July 5–6, 2025, at the WZB Berlin, Germany. The conference will be organized by Francesco Capozza (WZB), Mira Fischer (WZB), and Renke Schmacker (WZB/DIW).

The workshop features cutting-edge research that combines field, online, and survey experiments with administrative data to enhance the external validity and scalability of research findings. Leveraging representative and specialized samples from administrative records allows for a more in-depth understanding of behavioral mechanisms when self-collected survey data is linked to objective administrative outcomes.

The workshop will bring together leading international researchers from North America and Europe to present their latest research on how combining self-collected data and administrative datasets can generate policy-relevant insights in labor, health, education, and public economics.
