Rachel Brulé is an Assistant Professor of Global Development Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at the Boston University. She is also Graduate Faculty at BU’s Department of Political Science, Core Faculty at the Global Development Policy Center, and affiliated faculty at the Institute for Economic Development.
She was a visiting scholar in the Department of Institutions and Political Inequality in the summers of 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023, and she will return in July 2024.
Her research focuses on political institutions, social norms, and gender, with a focus on India and South Asia. In 2020, she published her first book titled: "Women, Power, and Property: The Paradox of Gender Equality Laws in India."
