Dr. Adrián del Rio Rodríguez

Adrián del Rio received a Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship to conduct his research on elite politics and authoritarianism at the Institute for East European and International Studies (ZOIS) and in the research unit Transformations of Democracy at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. Prior to that, he was a visiting scholar at the University Carlos III of Madrid and received his Ph.D. in Social and Political Science from the European University Institute

During my stay at WZB, he will advance his book manuscript and articles on the origins and effects of elite divisions within authoritarian governments. Moreover, Adrián will continue collaborating on two ERC projects on the causes and consequences of education systems worldwide. My work has been published in Comparative Political Studies, V-Dem working paper series, book chapters, Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas, ECPR's The Loop blog post, and El Pais’s agenda publíca.
