Hugo Tai

Hugo Tai is a graduate student in politics at the University of Oxford, and works with the “Transformation of Democracy” unit during his time at WZB. With a keen interest in the changing nature of democracy and authoritarian resilience, he has contributed to several notable projects in the field, such as Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) and Asian Barometer Survey (ABS). Hugo also serves as Co-Treasurer for the Democratic Innovations Group at the American Political Science Association. Prior to Oxford, he worked for the United Nations in Bruges and Hong Kong.
