Laura Schimmöller

Short Bio
Laura Schimmöller is a doctoral researcher at Freie Universität Berlin and a visiting researcher in the Global Sociology unit at the WZB. She obtained her master’s degrees in European Studies at KU Leuven and in International Relations and Law at Hitotsubashi University. Her research interests lie in the areas of social change, more-than-human rights, political ecology, and environmental sociology. In her doctoral dissertation, she uses ethnographic methods to examine how transformative ecological practices are mobilized at United Nations events.
