Lukas Kern
Lukas Kern (he/him) has been a student research assistant at the Einstein Center Pupulation Diversity since June 2024 and, since January 2025, has also been working at the Research Department „Skill Formation and Labor Markets“. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Social Sciences at Humboldt University in Berlin.
His research and academic interests lie at the intersection of family- and microsociology, as well as labor market and inequality research. He is particularly focused on exploring social dynamics, everyday practices, and emerging forms of social inequality in non-traditional family constellations. These include queer families, unmarried parent couples, single-parent and adoptive families, as well as on-off parenting arrangements.
