Prof. Paolo Barbieri, Ph.D

Paolo Barbieri  is full professor in Economic Sociology at the University of Trento (Italy) and member of the Center for Social Inequality Studies. He holds a PhD from the University of Trento and has been working for several years at Milan-Bicocca University, before coming back to Trento in 2007. His main research interests are concerned with welfare and labour market dynamics in comparative perspective. He is currently the director of the School in Social Science and associate editor of the European Sociological Review.

Current projects include: Changing labour market structures and inequalities in Europe. Technological and Institutional determinants of occupational instability and societal dualization.
