Workshop: Women and Work in the 21st Century 2026

On November 19–20, 2026, an interdisciplinary workshop on “Women and Work” will take place at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. Organized by Carolin Deuflhard, Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln, Felix Holub, Lena Hipp, Jonas Jessen, and Anne Sophie Lassen, the workshop brings together economists and sociologists to discuss current research on gender and the labor market. Over two days, presentations will explore labor market outcomes, career development, and workplace experiences, fostering exchange across disciplines and research perspectives. The event is supported by the grant “Women and Work in the 21st Century” from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
