Ana Garcia-Hernandez was a research fellow in the Institutions and Political Inequality research unit. She was a PhD student in Economics at NOVA university in Lisbon. Ana was working on understanding how increasing political voice of women in developing countries affects community outcomes. She was using a lab-in-the-field experiment to study the effects of empowerment on public good provision in the context of informal institutions. Her areas of interest include Political and Behavioral Economics with a focus in developing countries.
