Stefan Munnes
Short bio
Stefan Munnes has been a researcher at the Work, Family and Social Inequality research professorship since May 2023. After studying Sociology at the University of Potsdam, he started in 2018 as a data analysis assistant in the junior research group Work and Care, for which he also worked as a research assistant from January 2022. His research focuses on forms of social inequality, particularly gender inequality and modern antisemitism. In terms of methodology, he is primarily interested in and focuses on analyzing internet and text data. Since May 2023, Stefan Munnes has therefore also been doing his PhD on computer-assisted methods of automatic classification for researching social inequalities in the creative arts. In addition, he has been organizing the Berlin Summer Institute in Computational Social Science since 2023, where he teaches practical skills in the collection and analysis of text data.
