Senior researchers from the Berlin School of Eonomics, among them WZB researchers, have compiled useful tips for young scientists.

For a second year, the Fairwork project has evaluated the working conditions of the most popular platforms in Germany offering ride-hailing, food and grocery delivery, logistics, domestic and care services. Presenting the findings, the new report ‘Fairwork Germany Ratings 2021: Labour Standards in the Platform Economy’ ranks platforms against five principles of fair work, giving each company a score out of ten. Through analyzing 12 platforms, the report found that several companies continue failing to meet important standards of fair work.

Migration and Diversity Conference

The Migration, Integration and Transnationalization Unit is issuing a call for its 8th Annual Conference titled "Does Culture Matter for Integration? Empirical Patterns and Regulation of Difference" held September 14 - 16, 2022.

Global migration flows have caused an increase in diversity in receiving societies. Cultural conflicts between immigrant minorities and receiving majorities have become one of the most controversial issues in the political discourse of our time.
