After three days of intensive discussions, the WZB Scientific Advisory Board concluded this year's meeting with its feedback to the reviewed departments. Special thanks were expressed particularly to Christine Landfried, who is at the end of her term stepping down as chair of the board.

On November 23, WZB Director Michael Zürn and Timothy Garton Ash are welcoming international scholars and guests to the Dahrendorf Panel at the WZB. They will discuss the first findings and conclusions of the project “Europe in a Changing World”. The project investigates the mutual perceptions and relations of China, India, Russia, Turkey and the U.S. – the five CITRUS countries – with Europe. The event will also be available to watch via livestream.

Am 23. November begrüßen WZB-Direktor Michael Zürn und Timothy Garton Ash internationale Forschende und Gäste zum Dahrendorf Panel am WZB. Sie werden die ersten Ergebnisse und Schlussfolgerungen des Projekts "Europe in a Changing World" diskutieren. Das Projekt untersucht die gegenseitigen Wahrnehmungen und Beziehungen von China, Indien, Russland, der Türkei und den USA - den fünf CITRUS-Ländern - zu Europa. Die Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt und kann auch per Livestream verfolgt werden.

Die Sozialstruktur der Nachbarschaft hat Einfluss darauf, wie gut Berliner Grundschüler lesen und rechnen können. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt WZB-Bildungsforscher Marcel Helbig in einer neuen Studie.

In their new book, WZB Director Daniel Ziblatt and his co-author Steven Levitsky analyse strategies of the political right and where there is a need for reform of the American constitution. On May, 23., Daniel Ziblatt presented the German translation of the publication in a book presentation.

In order to make research practices more transparent and improve scientific standards, WZB researcher Levent Neyse and Anna Dreber Almenberg are launching the "Lab²" project at the WZB. Lab² establishes an international network of experimental laboratories that carry out replication and meta-science studies.
