In September 2017 the cooperation agreement called  “Good Work in Brandenburg- Politics and Science in Dialogue”  between the WZB’s doctoral program „Good work in a transformative world“ and the Brandenburg Alliance for Good Work was signed. The aim of this cooperation was to foster a mutual learning and transfer process supported by a variety of events.

As a joint initiative, expert dialogues  were held on various topics, such as co-determination in companies, diversity of employment forms and securing a skilled workforce.

Using the network was beneficial for the doctoral students as they gained better access to practitioners in the region. Among other things, the doctoral students were invited to join working committees of the alliance and the alliance partners relevant to their topic.

In September 2020, a second cooperation agreement between the doctoral program and the Brandenburg Alliance for Good Work was signed by then WZB President Jutta Allmendinger and Dietmar Woidke, then Minister-President of the federal state of Brandenburg.

In July 2024, the collaboration was concluded at a joint symposium at the ILB Potsdam (https://wzb.eu/de/news/fachtagung-zur-arbeit-im-wandel).
