Alicia Vignali
Short Bio
Alicia Vignali is a master's student at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, specialising in Social Science Research. She also holds a Master in Gender, Policy and Inequalities from the London School of Economics, as well as a Bachelor in Political Science with a focus on Political Theory from the University of Amsterdam. Alicia’s research interests lie in understanding structural drivers of individuals’ political and increasingly polarized behaviors and attitudes, as well as how individuals navigate contradictions and contestations. For her master’s thesis, she examined how female supporters of populist radical right parties reconcile tensions in their views on gender and migration, using France as a case study. Her previous work experiences include working on LSE-funded research on education, and assisting research on the climate-migration nexus in a think tank.
At the WZB, Alicia contributes to several SCRIPTS projects, including research on "Liberal Contestations" and Migrants' Attitudes Toward Abortion.
