Dr. Tobias Kuttler
Tobias Kuttler ist Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Fairwork-Sekretariat am WZB.
Tobias Kuttler ist Geograph und Stadtplaner. Seine Forschung befasst sich schwerpunktmäßig mit den Zusammenhängen zwischen Stadtentwicklung, Mobilität und digital vermittelter Arbeit. Sein regionales Forschungsinteresse konzentriert sich auf Südasien.
Vor seiner Arbeit im Fairwork-Projekt war er Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der TU Berlin (Fachgebiet Arbeitslehre/Technik und Partizipation) sowie Doktorand an der TU München und der Universität Hamburg.
Seine Doktorarbeit befasste sich mit der Einführung von digitalen Mobilitätsplattformen in Mumbai/Indien, und den damit verbundenen Kontinuitäten und Veränderungen im lokalen Taxisektor. Dabei untersuchte er die Alltags(fahr)praktiken von Taxifahrern, um zu verstehen, wie das digital vermittelte Taxifahren mit dem etablierten Taxisektor verbunden, und wie es in bestehende sozialräumliche Netzwerke eingebettet ist.
Für das Fairwork-Projekt koordiniert Tobias Kuttler die Forschungsaktivitäten des Projekts in mehreren Ländern in Europa, Asien und Afrika. Zudem koordiniert er die regionalen Fairwork-Aktivitäten in Europa und ist Teil des Teams von Faiwork Deutschland.
