Lebenslauf

Sebastian Hellmeier ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Forschungsgruppe Transformations of Democracy am WZB und Research Associate am Varieties of Democracy Institute (V-Dem) an der Universität Göteborg. Zuvor war er Postdoc am V-Dem Institut in Göteborg und wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität Konstanz, wo er an der Mass Mobilization in Autocracies Datenbank (MMAD) mitgearbeitet hat.

Seine Forschungsinteressen unfassen Autokratisierungsprozesse, politischen Protest und den Vergleich autoritärer Regime mithilfe quantitativer Methoden. Ergebnisse seiner Forschungsarbeiten sind unter anderem in Comparative Political Studies, Political Communication, European Journal of Political Research, European Journal of International Relations, Democratization und Political Science Research and Methods erschienen.
